Alright hunters, if you're struggling with the Z-Rex in bo6 bot lobbyZombies, it’s probably NOT you — it’s your loadout. After testing a bunch of combos, here’s what’s consistently working for fast, safe kills.
Primary Weapon:
Graviton Beam Rifle (Pack-a-Punched) — insane boss DPS when you hit crits.
OR Tesla Arc SMG — lower damage per shot, but faster status effects (shock + stagger).
Secondary Weapon:
Inferno Shotgun — great for crowd control when undead raptors swarm.
Any LMG with Brain Rot mod — Brain Rot zombies will distract enemies during the chaos.
Equipment:
Monkey Bombs — always.
Molotovs — helps burn through minions and chip Z-Rex armor in early phases.
Field Upgrade:
Ring of Fire or Frenzied Focus. Ring of Fire with a DPS weapon MELTS him during Phase 3 if you time it right.
Perks:
Jugger-Nog (mandatory)
Speed Cola (reloads = life)
Stamin-Up (dodging meteors + tail swipes)
Deadshot Daiquiri (boosts crit damage)
Optional: Elemental Pop for spicy random effects
Strategy Tip:Switching between Beam Rifle bursts and Tesla SMG ticks keeps pressure on weak points while you dodge. Also — DO NOT waste your Ring of Fire in Phase 1. Save it for either the raptor minion flood OR final boss melt.
Bonus:If you're playing Co-Op, have at least one person running Cryo Freeze on their gun — freezing the Z-Rex even for a second can buy precious breathing room during his charge attacks.
Anyone tried stacking multiple Rings of Fire during Phase 3 yet? I’m curious if that stacks the bo6 bot lobbies damage or not.
